Year 1 Home Learning - Week 9 -15.6.2020
Date: 12th Jun 2020 @ 10:25am
Hello everybody,
We hope you have had a good week, despite the rain.
Here are some new Home Learning actvities for you to try in the week ahead, but you will probably notice a slight difference to previous ones. The Home Learning activities with hyperlinks, such as Rising Stars Reading Planet, will still work from here as usual, however those which have an activity sheet to complete can now be found on 'Seesaw' in 'Activities'. The Home learning PDF is also available on 'Seesaw' under 'Announcements', just remember to access the hyperlinks you will need to click on 'View Originals'. You should have received an email about 'Seesaw' with details how to log in. Any problems doing so please contact the school office.
The reason for using 'Seesaw' means that rather than emailing your photos to school, who then forward them to us and you have to wait for us to send back a reply, that we can see what you have been doing and 'like it', as you upload them directly. You will also see we have chosen one activity that we will provide feedback on: this week it is an English writing task all about picnics and what you would take in your picnic basket. You can find it in Talk for Writing: Brian Bear's Picnic.
Any new technology takes getting used to - for both you and us. Hopefully 'Seesaw' will prove to be relatively straight forward. It will also replace the Tuesday 'discussion' which we know was less than perfect. Fingers crossed if the technology works, you should be able to get to see and hear us too!
Kind regards,
Mrs Clough, Mrs Mott and Mrs Ramsden-Smith
