Bonjour Year 3!
Comment ça va? Thank you for your hard work this week.
Every Week Home Learning
- Reading - read your library book. Reading is the one key skill that will make a difference in your life. You should be reading with your parents every day (if possible).
- Spelling Shed - login and go into Stage 3 and 4. This is where we should be. You can recap your Stage 1 and 2 spellings, too.
- TT Rockstars - You should be going on everyday (it doesn't need to be more than 5 mins!) UPDATE: Automatic Training Mode. Today, Ben C showed us this new feature. Thank you! For further information click here.
Home learning PLUS
- Well done Year 3! On Friday I will hand back to you your maths reasoning and problem-solving test. Please show it to your parents and celebrate your achievements.
- Look at questions you could improve on. We looked at how to solve word problems using part-part-whole bar models to help visualise the problem (I have created a worked answer sheet, which we went through in school, to share with your parents and keep on the fridge door!)
- Please ask your parents to take pictures of your test so they can test you with similar questions throughout the year at home.
- Please return your tests on Monday. Thank you.
Letters
- Please show your parents the 'Supporting pupils' learning and delivery of education - Seesaw' letter - an exciting new feature to our learning! Ask them to sign and return the permission form by the end of term. A copy of the letter has been attached below, too.Thank you. Helpful YouTube Clip for parents - Seesaw in 60 Seconds
Please ask your parents to sign your diary to show that they have seen what you need to complete for your home learning. Thank you.
Have a lovely weekend!
Mr Berger-North and the Year 3 team!
